COVID-19
Current policies about the pandemic
Coronavirus Update (Covid-19) April 20-2020
After a series of considerations and in accordance with recommendations of the Ministry of Health, Antioquia Sectional Directorate of Health and Secretary of Health of Medellín has determined preventive mandatory isolation in the national territory, that means our office has remained closed since last March 18th. According to government guidelines all services will be gradually opened.
Your health and well-being is our primary concern and we want to ensure you are protected so here you will find our most relevant safety measures:
-
All procedures and face-to-face consultations are currently suspended until further notice. According to presidential guidelines, this applies to all activities of medical offices including cosmetology treatments.
-
Dr. Ramírez will schedule and keep in touch with post-surgical patients, providing them with the documentation required for their transportation around the city, when necessary.
-
We have online medical consultations for both post-surgical patients and new patients.
-
Surgeries scheduled for March, April and May are being rescheduled according to the patient's health and operating room availability. Every case will be discussed with each patient.
-
We are constantly updating our services and staff in accordance with local and national recommendations. Your health and wellness will always be our top priority.
We continue to follow the latest recommendations provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Ministry of Health and all the competent authorities related to COVID19 prevention. These include:

-
Our staff has been fully informed and trained to understand the disease stages and spreading process.
-
All staff, medical visitors, and support staff are asked to abstain from coming to the office if they have signs or symptoms of a cold or upper respiratory tract infection.
-
Each patient is also asked not come to the office if they have any symptoms of a cold.
-
Patients who attend the office are reminded that only minors or those over 70 years old should go with a companion.
-
People accompanying patients are not authorized in the waiting room and front desk area with the exceptions described in the previous point.
-
Magazines and newspapers will not be kept in the waiting area to avoid patient to patient contact.
-
All staff, patients and visitors should go to the front desk where our staff will ask about the presence of cold-like symptoms such as cough, runny nose, general pain, general discomfort, fever, diarrhea, sore throat, among others; and the travel history (any country) or contact with a relative or friend who has been diagnosed with this virus. If patients refuse providing this information we where not be able provide our services.
-
Everyone must use a face mask or surgical mask and consult with their health insurance, the health department by phone and through the Coronapp. In order to protect the population, people with these conditions cannot go or stay inside the office facilities or inside the El Tesoro shopping center, where the office is located.
-
Washing hands is still the most important way of prevention. Although it is part of what we usually do, now we do it with greater care and attention.
-
We have a "no handshakes or hugs" policy for now.
-
We have asked all suppliers to cancel any unnecessary meetings until further notice.
-
Any exit and entrance from our office is followed by a shoe cleaning protocol, mandatory use of face mask and hand disinfection.
-
For your safety we have always had a cleaning and disinfection protocol so a cleaning protocol is carried out on all surfaces with a frequency of every 2 hours. This includes the cleaning of all surfaces, desks, door handles, keyboards, telephones, bathroom facilities, etc.
Although Covid-19 is a serious problem, we firmly believe that will be overcome and we hope that our infrastructure and our efforts to cope with the pandemic is in the best interest for everyone. We are constantly monitoring this situation in real time and we will not stop until we know that we have done everything possible to avoid unnecessary exposure.
